is owned and managed by Michael and Heather
Noble and between them they oversee all
of the day-to-day company business.
Their personal involvement in everything,
from production to despatch and from marketing
to after-sales service helps to ensure that
Microcustom continues to deliver consistently
all-round excellence to their many happy
customers. Crucially, good relationships
forged over many years with all of their
long-standing suppliers further enhances
the high level of service that Microcustom
is able to offer.
The
company operates from premises based on
the popular East Coast of the United Kingdom,
sandwiched between the well-known sea-ports
of Harwich and Felixstowe. Road, sea
and air links are particularly good and
these enable Microcustom to send their products
around the world with ease. Global
sales enquiries generated through direct
and indirect marketing, word of mouth recommendations
and trade associations are handled both
by Microcustom directly and through a small
but select network of appointed agents.
Currently Microcustom has non-exclusive
agents in Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden,
Holland, Italy and Spain.
Microcustom
has been manufacturing metering equipment,
principally for the marine industry, since
its inception in 1988. During that
time it has specialised particularly in
the design, manufacture and distribution
of its own product METERMAID™, a portable
in-line electricity meter which is used
for metering individual electricity consumption.
Widely used throughout Europe, Scandinavia
and North America, METERMAID™ has proven
to be the market leader in ship-to-shore
metered leads and continues to be a real
success story for Microcustom.
For
many years now Microcustom has supplied
metering equipment to many large marina
groups including Marina Developments Ltd,
Premier Marinas Ltd and Yacht Havens Group
Ltd to name but a few. This says much
about the dedication of Microcustom to providing
quality and service.
Microcustom
operates a Quality Management System that
meets the ISO 9001:2008 standard and is
approved by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.
